Holding Hands Necklace

Material: Silver .925, Brass + Jade
The design of the Holding Hands necklace was influenced both by the large chunky beads that Frida Kahlo frequently wore and by the theme of duality that radiated throughout Frida's life and work. The Heritage mixta de Frida had a weight in post-revolutionary Mexico and, like many, she struggled with her identity. Many of her paintings reflect a constant dialogue between the two Fridas of her, embracing each side with strength, determination and passion. Regardless of which identities you struggle with, this necklace is a reminder to hold each other's hand, as both parts are one whole and that is a beautiful and wonderful thing.
